Testing

In order to maintain program integrity and ensure retention of key information, there are several testing requirements associated with OSHA courses. These include the following:

  1. Testing is mandatory at the completion of each lesson and at the end of the course with an exam.
  2. Minimum pass rate is 70% for any test or for the exam.
  3. Each test may be taken three times. The exam may also be taken three times. If not passed after three attempts, the learner is disqualified from the program.

OSHA's exam requirements are explained in the introduction of each course.

Expiration

You must be complete the course within six months from the date the course was started. After six months, the course will expire, and you will not be able to resume progress.

  • As a reminder, you will receive an email notification thirty days, ten days, three days, and one day before the course expires.

Failed an OSHA test or exam

Any test or exam must be passed within three attempts. If you do not pass on the third attempt, the course can no longer completed.

Failed first and/or second attempt

Pop up warnings appear after each failed attempt, and you must acknowledge before continuing to a second or third attempt.

  • They explain that OSHA only allows 3 attempts to pass a test and that if any test is failed 3 times the course would be marked as failed, and progress would be lost.

Make sure to review the content of that lesson before you make another attempt.

Failed third attempt

If you fail any test or exam for a third time, you will not be able to complete the course.

  • You can repurchase the course and start from the beginning.
    • Note: All progress will be restarted, including any tests you have passed from the previous course as your progress does not carry over.
